Hi,
for the carcasses you should actually either leave out the top panel or shorten the rail, otherwise it will protrude too far and you might have problems opening the door. You can also mount the carcass without the wall rail, as you correctly recognized. Either directly on the wall like with Faktum, then the brackets need to be moved one pair of holes forward and the top panel will be too low. Or mount the wall bracket in the rear holes, just like if you want to hang it on the wall rail. Then insert the included spacers into the bracket grips(?) and then mount the carcass on the wall. The top panels fit again and you don't have to cut anything. This is also shown in the assembly instructions, you just have to leaf through a bit.
