Since the payout is not guaranteed, one basically only needs to ensure that the loan and thus the interest rate remain in effect until the allocation has taken place. A special right of termination may possibly also apply to the [Bausparer]. At least someone else wrote that here; I still need to check that for myself.

Now the case has occurred for me (deutsche Bank), that the home savings contract is only paid out 4 months after the interest rate is fixed. However, it is not a large amount and is tax-deductible with the tax office since it is a rental apartment. But if it becomes six figures that I have to finance temporarily, it can quickly become expensive or lead to even bigger problems.
