Switch lump-sum contract to billing based on partial services?

Hi.

Our prefabricated house provider (timber frame construction) sent us a letter offering to change the lump sum contract to billing based on partial services.

The background is naturally the temporary VAT reduction.

Apart from the warranty period, which then ends a few months earlier for the early trades, is there anything speaking against it?

For the sake of completeness, I am attaching the letter.

I have also already thought about proposing that to my GÜ. I assume that besides the warranty, the topic of price guarantee is something to consider. At least the partial services, whose acceptance takes place in the new year, could then become significantly more expensive if no separate price guarantee is agreed upon during the transition...

Don't you think that the price guarantee agreed upon in the contract for a specific period remains unaffected by this? For us, the change would be a one-liner, roughly: "Please convert the contract to billing based on partial services."

It probably depends on the exact wording of the price guarantee and the contract addendum/the change. But I am too much of a layman to be able to make a final assessment, even if I had these texts. But that would be a point I would pay attention to, unless it is already clear that all partial services will be completed by 12/31/20.
