Hello everyone,
I will try to describe my situation and hope for some help. We built a timber frame house and are currently doing the interior finishing. The "main" living floor is to be plastered. Here, a [Sumpfkalkk decor plaster] was applied as a test in two small rooms. It is quite yellowish, so it would still need to be painted. In the basement, a [Rotkalk Filzputz] is being applied, which is a lime-cement plaster. This dries white and might not need to be painted anymore; we have already looked at it in a neighbor's house. The ceilings are all wallpapered and have already been painted with a well-known [Soll Silikatfarbe].
We are now torn about how to proceed with the rest of the floor. Should we have the lime-cement plaster applied and paint it with the [Soll Silikatfarbe] if necessary? Or rather use the [Sumpfkalk] and paint with lime paint? Does it actually make that much of a difference for the indoor climate?
