Hello,
my bathroom is currently being renovated. This morning I saw that the company got "normal" grey boards
gypsum plasterboard KNAUF GKB.
The ceiling will be suspended throughout the bathroom, including over the shower with water vapor etc.
As a layman, I naturally think that it is wrong, because the "green" boards belong in the bathroom. Another craftsman, who was there briefly this morning, said the same.
On my way to work, I happened to meet a bathroom renovation company at the bakery. I also asked them briefly :)
They also said it's nonsense, that the green ones belong there.
I explained the situation to my craftsman and he said he always uses these boards, he doesn’t need the impregnated ones because they are sealed with PCI Gisogrund.
I then called Knauf and PCI to get information. The specialists there said that it works that way. They were also very focused on standards and regulations.
Should I now stop the construction process in the bathroom?
