A surcharge of flat 0.00 euros according to your contract excerpt – it could have been worse, *LOL* – however: valid until yesterday; what then follows under 2. could be interesting ;-)

I think I understand now what he uploaded. This is the change to the contract. From 12 months price guarantee, it spontaneously becomes 11 months, which conveniently lie before the start of construction. Although the construction is also sloppy, tying the fixed price to the start of construction. Otherwise, the construction company could simply wait until the time has expired. Accordingly, this may only be tied to the fact that the client meets all the requirements for the start of construction.

I do not see any price increase. It says economic surcharge. There are many surcharges. Some suppliers charge increased transport surcharges and now energy surcharges on deliveries. One supplier charges 1 percent of the net merchandise total as an energy surcharge on top starting from 01 October 2022. But that will certainly increase as well.

Thank you for the helpful answers. The surcharge would mean 5500 euros for us. The matter has been with the lawyer since today. I will gladly let you know how it ultimately turned out - for everyone who is affected themselves. I can imagine that this is not and will not be an isolated case.

5.5 kEUR absolute price increase amount for an entire house* ??? - no one here is going to "bother" to quote Hilmar Kopper again ;-)

Just for your first orientation as to why the condolences are missing:

*) Others here are supposed to pay such amounts just for their garage, terrace or similar, more than originally dreamed of!

I’m laughing about that too... 5.5k and for that to go to a lawyer??? That ruins the basic relationship with the construction company anyway. I would have left that... And just been happy about the start of construction!
