My wife and I are building a single-family house on our own. So far everything has gone quite well because we have skilled craftsmen and always inform ourselves carefully. Our basement (completely WU) is partly to be used as a hobby cellar and therefore will have underfloor heating. The energy consultant recommends a 10-centimeter thick insulation of the floor slab, on which the underfloor heating and screed are to be installed. We want to do the insulation below the screed ourselves. Planned are edge insulation strips and foil patches. Our screed specialist wants us to apply an additional moisture barrier foil under the insulation. We were thinking of "Katja," a product for cold bonding. What do you think about it? Is it suitable for this purpose?
