The title says it. The first draft from our developer shows a straight staircase "15 Stg. 19.1/25.0". I have since learned
15 Stg. == 15 steps, counted from the first up to the upper edge of the floor in the upstairs
19.1 == rise, i.e., the vertical distance between two steps, in cm
25.0 == tread, i.e., the depth of a step, in cm.

We find 15 Stg. 19.1/25.0 a bit steep and are now leaning towards 15 Stg. 19.1/27.0, which leads to an additional space requirement of 30 cm (which is possible in this case).

What do your stairs look like? Are you satisfied with them and would you do it the same way again? Are you dissatisfied, but it can’t be helped? Do you have straight or winding or half-winding or ... stairs?

Hello, we have a straight staircase with the following features: Height 291.0 cm Length 405.0 cm Risers 16 Steps 15 Tread 27.0 cm Riser 18.2 cm I find it very comfortable so far. However, we do not live in the house yet.

18.2 / 27 - but it is not there yet We are curious - unfortunately it does not comply with the comfort rule. It meets the other two.

Landing staircase with 17 steps, 17.85 rise and 27 tread.

But still in shell construction - it was easy to walk on, but you will only really notice it afterwards.

I once found:

Step measure = 2x rise + 1x tread - IDEAL: 63 cm == at 19.1/25.0 = 2x19.1+25=63.1 ... would be good

Comfort = tread - rise - IDEAL: 12 cm == at 19.1/25.0 = 25-19.1= 5.9 ... probably not so comfortable

Safety = tread + rise - IDEAL: 46 cm == at 19.1/25.0 = 25+19.1 = 44.1 ... safety probably still given.

So you would actually have to try stairs with the dimension 19.1/25.0 and determine for yourselves whether they are comfortable enough for you.

That 15 steps of 19.1/25.0 are too steep for us has been clarified. Interesting that so far only rather flat stairs have been posted here. Nobody using a steep staircase?
