Hello everyone. I am currently in the process of purchasing a house, which I described in another thread. However, while looking through the photos, I discovered that there are stains or discolorations visible in the basement (see photo). Therefore, I am posting again here in the specialist forum. I couldn't smell anything, not even a musty odor. What do you think? Could this possibly indicate moisture? Thanks in advance!

Try to find out the previous usage. If laundry was constantly hung there to dry, then this problem can be resolved after using a dryer for a few days.

Just place a hygrometer and use a capacitive moisture meter for the wall, then the answer will become clear.

As a meticulous enforcer of order and a reader who was already confused in the last thread, I would simply like to give you the advice to create your threads individually for one object and then post facts, questions, and photos there. Then the reader can precisely assign the year of manufacture to the photo and also find it easier to make use of the photo.

I agree with you completely. However, I thought this was a rather specific question and would be better placed in the "Mauer" forum. This concerns the terraced mid-terrace house from the above thread.

Or at least link. For "non-regular guests" who have a specific problem and could benefit, the division into topic-related threads in the respective subforum is actually better. With the forum's poor search function, you can forget that a searcher will find exactly the right answer in a 40-80 page thread.

Terraced house, window side… if you also had the year of construction and preferably a photo of the garden in front…. But it's up to you, it's your thread. I would just throw this out there: For a young house, it looks worn out ;) P.s. I also recommend a moisture meter.
