Special right of termination for home loan after 10 years

Hello everyone,

in 2019 we took out several loans for our house construction with different fixed interest periods. Now, after 10 years, you can make a special termination of a mortgage loan. We would like to do that. However, it always only says that this applies to loans with fixed interest periods of over 10 years. For fixed interest periods under 10 years, a special termination is not possible. What about exactly a 10-year fixed interest period? What applies here? Can you make the special termination or not?

Why do you want to terminate early when it is going to expire anyway?

Now you can terminate a mortgage prematurely after 10 years.

According to the Building Code, 10 years after full disbursement with a notice period of 6 months.

With an interest rate fixed for less than 10 years, early termination is not possible.

Stupid question if you read it carefully. After exactly 10 years, you can do whatever you want.
