And right now we are dealing with the issue of where to put the bins. I don't want them under the carport, I think leaving them out in the open looks ugly. We have now made a small base plate, but how the thing should look??? There are still "small" disagreements about that. How did you solve that? Unfortunately, the standard boxes are too low. Is there a manufacturer that produces these custom-made? Some might laugh, but for us this is slowly becoming the ultimate dispute... I will try to upload a picture later.

Today we got this piece from the neighbor for €20: he is enlarging his trash corner (it will be an about 6 sqm area enclosed with a hedge at the front corner of the property with a gravel ground and space for 4 boxes) and we will match this fine item to our wooden facade

Unfortunately, I am unable to upload a picture from my phone. Unfortunately, it needs to be filled with about 40cm of soil from the back....

We built boxes ourselves out of wood. Height and width are customizable,...

We also got ourselves a piece like this.
It is now – after 9 months – no longer the most optimal, but this may be due to my lack of craftsmanship or the still uneven ground in this area (gravel layer).

Otherwise, if you have some skill in handiwork, a DIY build is recommended if you can’t find anything suitable. It shouldn’t be that hard.
Get 4 or 8 beams (the Gl... hardware store has offered them frequently recently – have them cut to the right size immediately). Also buy boards or possibly salvage them from some old pallets. The locks and hinge strips were only available last week at Lidl.

PS: This is how I intend to cobble together our compost bin. Hopefully it works even without craftsmanship skills .

I initially wanted to do it myself as well, but then I got something like [ypg], however of high quality (I can't assess [ypg], but there are cheap versions around 100.- and more expensive ones around 400.-).

Alternatively, I thought about posts with foot profiles (not anchored in the ground) and boards, or alternatively a three-sided structure made of double rod fence, also without ground anchoring, with privacy screen or covered with plants.
