I'm currently researching. And yes, I know the topic is overdone. I also understand that the processing, the windows, roller shutter boxes, etc. play a role. And yes, if you want proper soundproofing, you should prefer other options (Kalksandstein, etc.)
I'm assuming a monolithic construction method. I'm more concerned about a surprising finding. When you use search engines and read through forums, the consensus is very clear. Poroton has a higher bulk density than aerated concrete, therefore obviously better sound insulation with Poroton. So far so good. Logically first.
Now I looked into the data sheets of two stones with the same lambda value (0.08). Both well-known manufacturers. The Poroton filled with mineral wool.
And lo and behold, both have comparable sound insulation values between 46 and 47 dB.
Now I'm confused. Can someone explain this to me?
