Hello everyone,

I have a carport that is in a very unfavorable location for an electrical installation. Nevertheless, I would like to have a 220V socket for maintaining the charge of my motorcycle's battery (12V) and at the same time It would be great if an LED lamp could be installed so that I can see something even in the winter months when it gets darker outside.

My idea would be a solar system but I have no knowledge of solar technology so I rely on tips!!! I only know that a friend of mine has a solar system on his garden shed and with it a refrigerator and a TV set are operated...

I would always consult the "expert" in such cases. This way you can perfectly align the system and achieve the maximum possible power gain. ;)

The initial investment can be quite expensive and if the [ungünstigen Lage] is really like that, I would reconsider it. But definitely consult a professional.

Hello

You want to convert the photovoltaic power (direct current) into 230 V alternating current and then back into 12 V direct current??

If it's really only about the motorcycle, then design the system directly for 12 V - then a conventional charge controller is sufficient.

Installing additional lighting has a crucial disadvantage: When your system produces power, it is so bright that you don't need lights, and when it is dark, your system doesn't provide power...
That means you need extra batteries for the lighting, which makes things more expensive...

If I were you, I would take a look in the camping area. There are such small systems ready "off the shelf" for caravans and vacation homes.

Micha

Could you please post more links here. That way you can get a better overview of everything and it is easier to compare. A system on the carport I consider to be a very good idea and more information is simply desirable.

Hello, I also think it’s best to get offers from a professional, that saves the most. More and more people are already thinking in the direction of [Solaranlage auf Carport], since electric scooters and cars are already starting to conquer the market.
