Hello dear forum,

first post, so I hope that everything here complies with the rules.

In short, when we completely renovated our house 6 years ago, that’s when (at least for me) home automation started.
We have electric roller shutters equipped with Rademacher DuoFern. As a control center, we use the Homepilot from Rademacher.

So far, so good. Then recently we added an electric garage door opener (not smart) and a Velux exterior roller blind.

Last winter the Homepilot broke down, nothing can be done anymore.

It would be nice to have a solution that covers the existing devices, i.e. roller shutters, Velux, and ideally also the garage, and that can be retrofitted with a few bonus features.
For example, switchable sockets, possibly door contacts, maybe even a camera at some point.

I have definitely tried to educate myself online, but I hardly understand the wide range of manufacturers, wireless standards and other information.
Operation should be possible via an iOS app; I found the Homepilot interface quite good and the functions were exactly right, the only downside is that
a replacement of the new v2 generation costs over 200 euros and exclusively operates Rademacher devices. :-(

Therefore my question/request is if anyone here could help me find a suitable system. Please don’t misunderstand, I am not too lazy to read up on it, but I at least need a rough direction or recommendation where the journey roughly goes.

Thanks and have a nice evening everyone
Tom

Since Rademacher uses its own protocol, you will have no choice but to get a new Homepilot or replace all the roller shutter motors or equip them with other receivers.

The new Homepilot is the cheapest alternative. It is also possible to connect additional z-Z-Wave devices to it (more than three) if you do some tinkering.

I also recommend a new Homepilot. The statement is not entirely correct. Meanwhile, there are several providers that are supported accordingly. For example, Philips Hue lights. All your other things are also relatively easy to implement with the system.
