Hello everyone,
we want to install electric shutters as part of our renovation, which can be operated via a switch.
My parents have a system that works on a timer; the shutters go down at a certain time and go up again in the morning. Basically, something like that would be enough for me as well, but I am currently wondering whether it makes sense to install such timer switches that possibly also have WLAN and can thus be controlled via phone?!? Does such a thing even exist? Or are there only shutter motors that work via WLAN?
Does anyone have experience with this? Which switches could you recommend? Since we have already ordered the windows including shutters, this seems like an alternative with the switches, if such things exist.

There is everything you can imagine (and sometimes even unimaginable). However, most systems use different frequencies than Wi-Fi or are wired because it is more efficient and comfortable.

But since you are thinking about it quite late, you can only install wireless actuators behind the switches afterwards (e.g., Shelly), which can then operate the blinds at the desired times.

Which blind motors are you getting and which switch system from your house construction partner?

I had already given it some thought beforehand and would also be satisfied with timed systems. It was just an idea whether it would be possible with another switch. It was just a mental exercise....I will look into the radio actuators. Thank you.

You can make any switch remotely controllable afterwards as long as you have L and N on site.

Ok, thanks for the info. I will talk to my electrician, who is on site anyway this afternoon. Thanks

We are currently planning our new building and will then install the control system from Merten (Wiser)
