Sink shower hose into bathtub rim

Hello everyone,

we are currently choosing fittings for our bathtub and I would like to have a retractable shower hose. Now, there are systems that guide the hose back into the bathtub rim by means of pre-tension. They are quite expensive. I wonder if you really need that or if you can just put the hose back into the rim manually... without an expensive retraction system??

Does anyone have experience with that?

I just wanted to know if you need a retraction system for the shower hose or if you can simply retract it by hand – does anyone have experience with this?

What is more important is that the bathtub rim fitting has a spout.

OK, again not the answer to my question. But okay, I just found systems that allow the hose to be retracted without a pulling system. Topic closed.

may I ask which system you have in mind?
Well, I had a retractable hose with a pull system 5 years ago and can only advise against it. Recently we were at a bathroom exhibition and now I wanted to try whether anything has changed in the last 5 years.
No luck, it retracts just as badly as 5 years ago.
But we don’t want to have such a stupid hose hanging around either, so I would be very interested to know which system you have found?
