A construction company recommended that we use a silicone resin plaster as the top coat. It would probably be aerated concrete, lightweight fiber plaster as the base coat, and then a top coat of our choice. Actually, I had once read that purely mineral plasters algae less, but the construction company said that a silicone resin plaster is significantly better and more durable and also, because it is pigmented throughout, looks good in the long term. They would also do a mineral plaster at the same price (including two coats of paint) if we wish, but they advise us to choose the silicone resin plaster. Now we are undecided, are there any experiences/opinions on this?

Use a mineral noble scratch plaster and you neither have to paint nor worry about algae.

Did you do it like that for the plastered area at your place? You have to make sure that the plasterer has experience with it, right? How much was the price or additional cost per sqm?

Official prices were around 8-10k for 70sqm2 - but that was also due to the small area.

And yes, painters can't do that, a plasterer has to do it.

9,000 EUR for 70 sqm is an insane 128 EUR/sqm. Applying the top plaster is, according to my research, usually priced between 12-30 EUR per m2 (depending on the plaster). You certainly mean the complete ETICS system including insulation, reinforcement/base plaster, and top plaster with these 8-10k, right?

Regardless, do you know which plaster you have? WeberTop Edelkratzputz? Or from another company?

Oh, yes, that was completely for everything - including scaffolding, etc.

It was a small area anyway, so it is more expensive.

The plaster is from Knauf.
