Hi, I always read different opinions and manufacturer recommendations on the topic of silicate/mineral paint. I have already sanded our ceiling during the joint filling and treated it with an (acrylic) primer. The drywall slopes as well... We actually wanted to use pure silicate paint, but now I partly read that it does not work on primer and drywall boards. However, if I read through a well-known mineral paint with a cat as an example (which I would not buy), it would be suitable for gypsum board! So what is correct now?

A pure silicate paint does not work on drywall! And I don’t understand the point either if you prime with an acrylate (Tiefengrund) and then want to continue working purely mineral-based.

There are many high-quality dispersion silicate paints for interior use. You don’t have to have any concerns about that.
