Hello!
Greetings to all readers, helpers, and those who keep internet forums alive by participating.

I vaguely remember the information from a bricklayer that after plastering, during drying, a silicate layer forms, which must be removed before applying the next plaster layer so that the next layer can adhere.

Now I haven't found anything about this on the internet and thought I'd just ask the experts.
I am grateful for any information.

Best regards, Goodwill

I have never heard that with plaster, I only know that with anhydrite screed. Besides, there are also different types of plaster such as lime, cement, and gypsum plaster. So, no worries.

We also have some spots with wetter plaster that does not dry as quickly. The site manager also said that it is a layer that forms and then prematurely closes the pores. Then the water cannot escape as well there. It can be lightly (finely) sanded/scratched...

Thanks to Vicky Pedia! Then I must have confused something. Screed, not plaster!
