Shutters made of wood or aluminum? Electric or manual?

We are considering shutters. Has anyone installed any, wood, aluminum, and with which mechanism (electric, manual)? And how much more expensive is the whole thing compared to the manually operated roller shutter? Thanks for the info!!

We also considered which ones to take. But for now, we have only prepared the electrical work. In one or two years, we might retrofit folding or sliding shutters. But they are probably already significantly more expensive.

Are wooden shutters really that much more expensive than roller shutters? Technically, you can do it yourself (mounting shutters on the outside) as opposed to installing the roller shutter box into the shell construction. Does anyone have prices at hand? There is little information about this on the web.

Hello,


Everything that is not commonly requested is expensive compared to the standard! Shutter rollers start at a reasonable €300.00/pair for plastic versions with internal sliders and installation; prices go upward - especially for aluminum or wooden versions - with no upper limit.

Thank you for the response! Our service description includes roller shutters with a belt system. We will remove them completely... do you think the difference will still be that high?
