Shower tray before or after screed?

Hello!

Question about the shower tray: We are getting a shower tray with a height of 6.5cm in the guest bathroom (so that no water runs out). Now the question was whether we should install the tray before the screed and then "step down" or after the screed and then "step up". The sanitary person says that both are possible. How did you solve this or is there anything else to consider?

Build a base to step in almost flush with the ground? Otherwise, I would probably install after the screed, as it would be easier to make changes in the future?

Leave out the screed in the area of the shower tray and have the tray installed after the wall tiles are finished! Flush-mounted installation is the correct approach here.

What do you actually mean: do you mean shower tray or bathtub or bathtub with shower function? I’m assuming a shower tray. First, leave out the screed and the area for shower trays and bathtubs. If it absolutely has to be a shower tray, there are also ones where you only have a small wall that just keeps the water away. Otherwise, level/ slightly sloped tiled showers towards the drain with glass door elements are possible even with small showers. If possible (also for old age), avoid stepping up or down. Small steps are okay (think of the age).
