Shower smells strange (new installation, not yet in use)

Bought a shower cabin at the hardware store last week before last and had it installed by the plumber. The shower cabin is from the hardware store's own brand, which usually offers good value for money. Unfortunately, it still emits an unpleasant odor ("China plastic" smell). We hope this will improve but are naturally wondering how many weeks/months this might take.

Has anyone of you had similar experiences? And: Can the off-gassing be accelerated somehow? (The window is always open when we are at home).

Once the first few hundred liters of water have run through, it will definitely get better.

New car also smells strong and "unpleasant". But you can live with it.
