Hello everyone, I need to get 2 shower enclosures (each 120cm): - Walk-in for bathroom - Sliding door for guest bathroom Which brand/seller have you chosen? How thick does it need to be? At the hardware store, the price ranges between 300 - 1000€. On Ebay, I find offers from about 150€ ([Far East seller, shipping from Germany]) What has been your experience? THANK YOU for your response.

Schulte Alexa Style 2.0 with 120x90 glass walls including sliding door. Was on offer at Globus with a 20% discount, so for €479, purchased at Hornbach with lowest price guarantee and free delivery.

I hired the local glazier. It wasn’t even that expensive, but it was custom-made and really high quality.

May I ask how it is designed and what you paid? I have an offer from an (almost) local carpenter. For a fully glass swinging door 8mm toughened safety glass with stainless steel handles (77x208cm) + fixed glazing on the wall parapet (55x58cm) including delivery and installation for about 1,200 EUR. I thought that was a lot.

This would also interest me. We want to install a shower niche (130cm wide) with a swing door in the new house in July. So far, we have the inexpensive ebay/amazon model from impex_bad in the selection: Alcova 8mm for around 350€ excluding installation and the more expensive Toura 8mm from Schulte for 1174€ excluding installation. I will probably also go to the local glazier again, but I have no idea what price to expect there. Can anyone share experiences?

Sorry, somehow I had overlooked the question ... We have a walk-in shower with a 90 cm fixed panel 210 cm high as well as a double-wing pivot door with lift-and-lower mechanism, 100 cm wide and 210 cm high, each made of 8 mm laminated safety glass including nano coating and flush-mounted fittings. In total, this cost about 1800 EUR. What I learned from this is: above all, the fittings have a great influence on the price. Without the flush-mounted version and with only one large instead of two smaller doors without lifting/lowering, we would have been around 1100 EUR.
