Dear forum,
my parents recently bought their first house and the renovation is planned to be finished by mid-December.
In advance: I am a layman on this topic, so please don’t take it badly if I express something oddly.
I would like to ask you if it is normal that the doors do not close properly at a 90-degree angle. Because visually, this is not the case for us and the bathroom is also the room where my parents invested the most money for the first time.
The person who built this shower for us is an acquaintance. We saw his shower at his place (we didn’t pay attention to the folded doors) and we liked it visually very much.
When building the bathroom, we fully trusted him, which is why he also chose the materials and everything.
Now we have no idea whether this shower door is correct because we have never seen one that doesn’t close at an approximately 90-degree angle. I haven't found a single shower on the internet that closes like this.
The shower door in his house is also like ours, but visually and also when showering, we wouldn’t like it either if you have to close the door so oddly.
He said he installed it that way intentionally for us and that he can change it, but that he does not take responsibility if something happens later regarding leaks etc.
In this post, I hope to get an answer to whether these shower doors are normal and if we should change them.
I know this post is not very detailed, but I am thankful for any help and also any questions.
