Shower back panel experiences, quality, joints?

Hello everyone,
due to the annoying joint problem with tiles, we want to use (or rather three per shower) aluminum composite shower back panels for the showers.
Glass would also be nice, but probably much more expensive.
Now I wanted to ask what experience you have had with aluminum composite panels as shower backsplashes? Can you recommend certain manufacturers or not recommend them (due to quality defects)?
What must be considered regardless of the manufacturer? The joints around the panels will probably be glued/sealed with sanitary silicone, right? Of course, after a few years, every silicone joint must also be renewed once.

I once had samples sent to me, I would recommend that to you as well. We personally did not like the feel of it. So just try touching a shower back panel yourself and then decide. Maybe someone else here also has experience with shower back panels.

okay. Which shower backsplash did you decide on then?

Just use a large-format tile as a shower backsplash. That way you won’t have any grout lines either.

sounds good, but aren't they even priced higher than a shower backsplash made of glass?

I know these thoughts, yet we use tiles because every building material presents a different problem. Large-format tiles, narrow, gray joints. I find that optimal. We have 60x60, they are stylish, easy to maintain, and affordable.
