From time to time a repair is needed and one doesn’t feel like investing a lot of time or money. Creative inventiveness sometimes results in quirky ideas that turn out to work and last longer than expected. Who has done something like this and wants to share it with others?
I’ll start with my awning repair – after over 30 years the beading came loose and I didn’t feel like sewing or replacing it. Paperclips have now been doing their job for almost 6 meters in their 10th year and give the old awning an individual and cheerful touch. (Maybe someone has a cleaning tip – for a long time the awning shared the east wall with the wild vine, which interfered with the color scheme.)
