Hello everyone,
unfortunately, the ceiling was set at 2.57m, although our plan states 2.675m. This will be corrected tomorrow – so far, only the finished ceilings are in place. As a client without a site manager, you really have to go to the construction site every day...
However, the blinds boxes have already been installed, so they are at a lintel height of 2.25m (2.57m - 0.3m for the boxes). My question now:
Shouldn't the boxes also be adjusted upwards so that the later distance between the windows and the ceiling is not unnecessarily large and the windows are not unnecessarily small? With a parapet height of 0.92m, the windows would only be a maximum of 1.35m, with adjustment then 1.45m.
The window manufacturer says the boxes have to be raised – but he would also earn more due to the subsequent special size for the exterior doors of 2.35m.
The architect, who has to pay for moving the ceiling because the execution plans deviated here, says we should leave the boxes as they are – but probably not without self-interest either.
So I would like some more neutral assessments here.
Thanks,
Frank
