Hello dear forum community, I have a question, namely I looked at a rental apartment in the city yesterday, which has a tiny garden. The house lies on the north-south axis, the little garden is located directly on the west side. On the south side, the garden is separated by a tall hedge. Now, however, residential buildings are currently being built on the property behind the rental apartment, directly to the west, at a distance of about 30-40m, which are 5 stories high. Can I expect to still get sun in the garden in the afternoons or will it always be in the shade then? Maybe someone has experience with such a location. An answer would help me a lot, thank you very much in advance! Best regards Gibi

That of course depends entirely on the time of year and time of day. In winter at 3 p.m. definitely not, in summer at 12 p.m. of course yes.

The keyword is "Sonnenstandswinkel" or "Sonnenhöhenwinkel".

Have a look at www . sonnenverlauf . de
