The path should run along a property boundary. How much distance from the neighbor do I have to legally and technically maintain for the pipe? Stay 1m away from the bottom of the trench to be on the safe side. It has more to do with the trench and possible landslides than with prescribed distance. Be careful with a 40m trench along a road, special safety obligations certainly apply. It is best to inquire with a local civil engineer.

Since the sewage pipe, by principle, must leave the property to make sense, you may probably lay it up to the boundary. For example, we have a public sewage channel at our property boundary, but of course, the corresponding safeguards are registered for it.

Hello K1300S, we built in the second row. A 25 m path (3.5 m wide) leads us to our house. The sewer runs along it. By near property boundary I meant the parallel boundary of the 25 m path to the neighbor.
