Hello everyone,

since our property is located on a slope and we would like to create a flat level (removing approximately 50 m3 of soil) with slope protection in the form of L-shaped stones (1.55 meters high) over a length of 15 meters, we have inquired with companies in the area.

Now a company, which otherwise mainly carries out tree felling and forestry work, has made us a pretty good offer.

Subsequently, another company informed us that these works are subject to certain commercial requirements and cannot simply be carried out by a forestry company.

Are you aware of such legal requirements and if so, what effects do they have?

Thank you very much for your help!

Should the L-bricks be placed on the property boundary?

Yes, partially. However, this has been agreed with the neighbors and they have no problem as long as we properly replant the backfilled soil.

I rather see legal requirements (whether and how you are allowed to do it) and in the execution (e.g. static requirements for the installed L-bricks). Otherwise, whoever wants to do it should do it – the important thing is the correct technical implementation (including drainage).

Are terrain modifications and retaining walls allowed at the boundary in your development area?

Could have something to do with the construction industry/main construction industry. I can't remember exactly. A buddy just explained to us that he is only not allowed to pave the yard. If he does the entire outdoor area, he is allowed to pave the driveway.
