Yes, that is also possible, but take a look at picture 3. The foot goes over the lower (bed) edge. Then you no longer have any support. More precisely, the angle becomes unstable and thus useless. Trust me, use angles from the hardware store, they have enough stability for your project.

Why don't you just buy yourself a new bed? That would be much easier....

Do you have a slatted frame or a roll-up frame?

Hello, a slatted frame. I don't understand why I should screw something into the middle beam and the corners. The side beam of the slatted frame also rests on the side rails. So somehow, I think I'm generally a bit lost when interpreting page 18... :eek:

Yes, you are not getting it

With slatted frame and frame, you can forget the plugs. They are for a roll slatted frame so that it cannot shift. Essentially as a shape giver. So that you don’t end up with your head on the floor in the middle of the night because the slats have shifted backwards, or imagine intense bed activity. That could end very painfully...
