Hello!

I have a question about the bed Engan. Can the bed also be used well without the legs? It shouldn't actually make a difference, right?

Thank you (:

No, unfortunately, that is not possible without further ado. See here:

If you put an angle in the corner, it works, but without an angle, it does not.

Would you maybe explain to me exactly how it would work? What would I need to get? Unfortunately, I’m not handy at all ):.

Edit: You mean because the angle bracket and the leg are fixedly welded together? So I would need four angle brackets from the hardware store that have the correct distance between the screws and to the corner? (Finding such angle brackets is almost impossible, right?) Would that cause no problems for the slatted frame? I just don’t want the slatted frame to rest directly on the floor ^^.

You would need standard angle brackets. You can get them at any hardware store. At least 4, better would be 8. Two in each corner, screw them in with simple wood screws, but be careful that the screws are not too long. That would actually be all. Best to assemble the bed first, then install the angle brackets, put the slatted frame on, and you're done.

Regarding the slatted frame:
You have 3 heights for the rails on which the slatted frame can rest. I would first try the lowest height. But just take a look at the assembly instructions on Ikea. Here is the page where you can find the instructions.

Question 1:
Yes.

Question 2:
Yes, because otherwise you would have to pre-drill holes. (Wood screws are included, but they have no pointed tip in front, so they don't cut in by themselves)

Question 4:
Yes.

I just looked at the instructions, the whole thing is slowly making sense to me. And you mean that I should only fix the angles at the very end?

Couldn't you also just saw off the legs with a metal saw?
