Hmm, a comparable bank guarantee at a bank costs about 75 euros/year, about 375 euros for a full 5 years. It’s not that much of a difference. But I would have been surprised if banks and insurers did anything about the price.
Whether it goes into the credit exposure or as insurance... it only matters if the company is already struggling anyway. It definitely has to be calculated internally in the credit exposure because the legislator requires it. One bank or another just calls it differently.
