Hello everyone,
I am currently working on protecting the facade in the terrace area against moisture. It is a house without a basement, built with a timber frame construction. So far, I have applied a layer of sealing slurry. The plan is to install a dimpled membrane before filling with gravel. However, I am concerned that the dimpled membrane might be damaged during the compaction of the gravel due to the existing cavities between the facade and the foundation slab (see photo). Does anyone have a tip for this? Or another idea for the waterproofing?
Is drainage needed in front of the terrace door if a terrace roof will be built soon?
I would appreciate some feedback.
Thank you in advance and best regards
