Hello dear readers,
In short, our backstory: Windows were installed poorly. A correction was made. The correction was also poor. The developer is insolvent. No warranty. The work now has to be corrected by ourselves...
The problem is that below or next to the floor-to-ceiling elements there were these sealing flaps (let’s call them that) that were actually supposed to be glued onto the plastic underneath the window so that no moisture can penetrate from the side. Unfortunately, these were cut off. The correction looked like this (see photo): simply new flaps were glued onto this spot, which, however, is doubtful that they would keep out moisture. Therefore, I reluctantly chiseled out the clinker bricks on the side so that a real sealing can take place here... this, of course, concerns the side sealing, but there is also no protection from moisture from below to date.
The question now is how to still save the situation – and not just in any way, but properly and for the long term!
Can anyone perhaps say something about what the right measures would be here?
Best regards
Ralf
