Hello,

this year we want to build our terrace. For our floor-to-ceiling windows, we deliberately omitted the otherwise typically installed aluminum window sills in order to be able to connect our terrace covering (probably concrete stone) flush with them. Possibly, a gutter should also be installed in front of it. Now the question arises: how to seal it properly. The purple Syrodor can or must of course still be trimmed back. But what and how should be applied on top? Do you have expert advice for me? Thank you very much!

Hi, what interests me is, what does it look like behind the Styrodur? I know it this way, that the interface between the ground slab and the window must be sealed there and also at both sides to the masonry, e.g. with liquid plastic (roughening, primer, first layer of liquid plastic, insert fleece, second layer of liquid plastic), better leave that to a specialist.

Regarding the gutter, if it’s not covered, then take a gutter.

This is how it is solved for us. A gutter was installed directly on the window element. Immediately after that, the patio slabs.

Unfortunately, the picture of Mahri is only the final product.

I would also be interested to know the best way to proceed.
We have a similar situation, but our insulation has been completely sealed with bitumen. We of course cut the recess for the KG pipes into the Styrodur and resealed it with 2 layers of bitumen.

The question is, if we set the drainage channel in concrete, should there be a dimpled membrane between the drainage channel and the window, as shown in the picture?
Should I place it only below the insulation and let it extend up in front of the channel?
Should I leave out the dimpled membrane in that area?

I have a dimpled membrane with fleece and sliding foil here and would like to know how best to place it there, if at all necessary.
