Hello everyone, I am currently renovating a single-family house that I want to move into in April. The house is now empty and it makes sense to refurbish the parquet flooring. It is a solid wood strip parquet. The parquet is lacquered, but the lacquer is not in the best condition anymore. The condition otherwise is very good, meaning no dents/scratches/damages. So it is basically "only" about resealing. Since the parquet is laid (almost) throughout the entire house, and such a large area would cost a lot if done by a company, I would like to do it myself. I can rent a sanding machine for this, but the rental fees are not negligible... especially since I would need the machine for several days. My plan... to buy used and sell again later! Since I do not have to remove much from the parquet (no damages), I thought about a single-disc machine... Is this sufficient for sanding off the old lacquer? On the internet, you can find various single-disc machines... these are often also advertised as "Bohnermaschine". Can these Bohnermaschinen also sand, or are the sanding machines special? I am currently specifically looking at the "Taski Ranger 200"... is it suitable for this purpose? (unfortunately, links are not allowed to be posted) I would be very grateful for tips on which machines are suitable! Also, tips on where to get good lacquer for sealing... or manufacturers of good lacquer would help me! Thank you very much!
