Hello everyone,
I am planning to build with GÜ (Town Country or Heinz von Heiden).
According to the construction service description, for example:
- The cladding is done with profiled wooden boarding and smooth verge boards made of softwood, installed parallel to the facing brickwork or
thermal insulation composite system/exterior plaster, fixed on battens.
All visible wooden elements are factory coated with a first wood preservative paint in white color (375€).
- The boarding of the roof soffit, as well as all visible wooden components (such as boarding, supports) are coated with a weather-resistant, colored paint. The color is applied with 2 coats (1300€).
Questions:
- If I understood correctly, the 1st offer includes only one wood preservative coating and the 2nd offer: 2 coats. How many are necessary?
- What do you think about the price?
- I am planning to arrange directly with the craftsman/carpenter (to maybe get a better price). Have you had any experience in such cases (with GÜ Town Country or Heinz von Heiden)?
THANK YOU for your answers.
