Roof tiles: Clay or concrete - Does clay tile really last that much longer?

Oh, almost forgot to mention at least once. My better half just came up with the great idea to add metal after the roof. Sure, it looks sh...t, but no one here cares. Still, I'm reluctant. I especially imagine it being loud in the rain and similar. Regarding cleaning, I haven’t been able to read up on it yet due to lack of time.

BTW Sorry if I don’t respond promptly, we are currently dealing with some very unexpected, very big private problems and stress here.

What about [durchgefärbten Tondachziegeln]? Is that advisable or nonsense?
