Hello,

I noticed some broken spots on a few roof tiles (about 7 pieces) (see photo). I am afraid that moss might grow there faster or water might penetrate. But maybe this is normal and something that happens when roofing?

Thanks to you!

Yes, this happens during installation, but it does not constitute a defect. You could argue that the engobe is thereby defective (which usually also does not constitute a defect) and hope for goodwill from the GÜ/roofer that they either paint over the spots with cold engobe or replace the tiles.

In the second picture you can quite clearly see that the clay is coated. But of course I could be wrong. If you take one out and turn it over, you can clearly see whether they are engobed.

I would have it replaced; if the bricks were now black on the outside, it would also be very noticeable visually.

Best regards

depending on the roof shape/height and position. Normally, replacing the tiles is no problem and can be done in "a few minutes." The question remains why it is not done immediately. There is always enough reserve...
