Hello, we are building a bungalow with a 35-degree pitched roof. In a U-shape.

Now the question arises whether we should choose a 50 or 60 cm roof overhang.

I tend to go for the 50 cm roof overhang, as our house is not very tall (6.3 m) and I find large roof overhangs visually shrink the house.

Has anyone faced the same question?

Does anyone have a photo of a 50 cm roof overhang?

My architect says it doesn’t matter, and it’s just a matter of aesthetics. The facade would be equally protected.

( I like a modern look )

Thanks to you

Then definitely 50 cm. For facade protection, 0 cm is also enough. We have no roof overhang, it is simply for aesthetics.

Between 50 and 60 cm you can't see any difference anyway... 0 ... 50 ... 100 cm would be steps where you can really think about it.

At 60 (from 50) the entire projection is included in the built-up area.

Take the 50!

I think you could perform in a comedy with the kind of non-war-deciding questions you always come up with. Take 52.5 cm, then you have one twelfth of 630 cm.
