For flat roofs, there are mounting systems that do not penetrate the roofing membrane. These are simply elevated and equipped with appropriate weights. Available as plastic trays for the usual module size. The trays are then filled with gravel, sand, or water (depending on the system and possibilities). Or as aluminum profile constructions with paving slabs or similar as weight. Underneath these systems, I would always place thick EPDM strips that secure the systems against slipping and provide additional mechanical protection.

The weight should be calculated properly; a photovoltaic module of nearly 2m² is a nice sail!

On flat roofs, usually always without damaging the roofing membrane. There are various systems and providers for this (weights are used). The modules are then not placed quite as steeply, but the shading problem is avoided, so the modules can be placed closer together.
They can also be tilted towards each other on mounts (east-west) and thus be more stable in wind (which usually comes from the west, sometimes from the east).
