Roller shutter motor manufacturers

we are currently working on automating our roller shutters. I have come across manufacturers like Schellenberg, Selve, and Lifteo. Can someone recommend a specific manufacturer? Are there any significant differences between the individual manufacturers?

I have now done some research myself. Selve really seems to be great, see here: xxx.Rollladen-Shop.de/Rollladenmotoren/mit-comfortfunktionen/ there is even a Plus-R version. The products from Lifteo, which I have already found from around 80 euros, are cheaper in terms of price.

Have you ever looked around at Rademacher? They have a very good reputation. I also retrofitted with the Rademacher radio system last year, so I can’t say anything about durability yet. At least they are solid, and the installation was easy. Programming the endpoints, etc., was a piece of cake because that happens more or less automatically after installation. You just have to be careful to choose the right motor strength. Too strong is not good either, because then it can happen that the endpoint is not found and the motor keeps turning because it has too much power. You can still set the endpoint manually, but there could already be damage. It is best to get advice from a professional before buying. I found caliso on the internet when comparing prices, and I asked by email before buying and received reasonable advice and a good offer. Since the specialist company is near me, I then picked up my motors there myself, but shipping is of course also possible. When making larger purchases online, I pay attention, if possible, to providers near my place of residence; this has been my best experience so far.

Hello everyone, I’m bringing up the topic again because I currently want to retrofit roller shutter motors in our house (internally installed roller shutter boxes). In the family, some have taken the "cheap" ones from Amazon, running for more than 5 years without problems (about 40 euros) or better Rademacher and Co? Do you have any recommendations? Thanks :)

We have installed ASA at our place (new building) for several months now, they are supposedly part of the Somfy portfolio, just cheaper. We are satisfied with them.

You don't read much good about Selve online anymore. I can no longer confirm the statement from 2015. We decided on Somfy Oximo WT because we hadn't read as much negative about them and they were similarly priced to Selve. A roller shutter installer told me recently that they don't differ much anyway, but rather professional installation and obstacle-free operation are more important. Should the motors be able to do radio/KNX?
