No, you have misunderstood me

We will only directly skim coat on the ground floor, where it is fully plastered.

Here, it is only about the plasterboard panels on the upper floor: textured plaster or fleece, that is the question here. Meanwhile, we are tending towards the fleece.

Summary:

After roughly sanding again and then painting the (fertig) plastered drywall in our utility room, we continued accordingly in the other rooms and omitted the fleece. Transitions are barely visible in raking light. In the bedroom and bathroom, we sanded with even more care and, if necessary, plastered again. The walls and slopes look excellent in both raking and normal light, so we have omitted fleece or the like.

On the ground floor, we have started filling the small cracks and holes (in the meantime we are focusing on that), so we will paint everything without fleece — including the ceiling.

That saves us at least a week of work, material costs, and an incredible amount of stress and marital strife.

Did you plaster the entire surface or only the transitions and at Q3 level scrape the transitions again on the left and right? Multiple times on screw holes as well?
