Hello,

I am currently dealing with our drainage.
It is required by the city with the use of rainwater and infiltration of the excess.

Now I am looking for a trench system and a cistern, both in a shallow design, as we have a high groundwater level.
Can anyone recommend something?

Regards

Christian

We also have very high groundwater (from about 1.6 meters in some places) and have used the "graf sicker tunnel 300L". You can connect them in series up to the required area/volume and, when buried 50cm deep, they are also drivable for vehicles. They cost around €50 each three years ago. You don’t need a cistern or anything similar. The inspection shaft directly in front of the infiltration parts is a DN 500 pipe with a bucket inside at the bottom.

We have carried out something similar. Works as it should.

A cistern is still necessary .. urban planning regulation .. ;)

But the graphics seem quite common, so that will be it if you are satisfied

Cistern (=Retention) may also be required due to the subsoil, even if widespread infiltration is planned.

How big should the cistern be and what is it supposed to achieve? Are we talking about water collection to use it with a pump, for example for garden water, or are we talking about a retention basin to gradually infiltrate the water? The first can hardly be a requirement from the office, and the second can be achieved just as well with enough other volume. The gentleman (if you are building with a general contractor) calculates how much infiltration area/volume is needed for area x when preparing the documents for the building notification. We first had the typical shaft for infiltration with 3.1 m³ volume and 1.5 m² infiltration area. Unfortunately, that didn’t work because of high groundwater. I then wrote an amendment myself and calculated how I now want to solve it. I then calculated 1x Graf tunnel with 300 liters each (3.3 m³ > 3.1 m³) and 11x yyy (yyy >>> 1.5 m²) (I don’t know the infiltration area right now). Both new values were larger than before and so it will inevitably work. The system is practically about 3-4 times as large as before, because infiltration area is basically "everything." It went through the office immediately. Submitted in person, the guy said right away that I can do it that way and the approval will come in the next few days. Cost: 12€ from the office
