Hello,

in addition to the solid house offers from regional home builders, we are also collecting offers from Keitel-Haus, Bien-Zenker, and Rensch-Haus purely out of interest.

Basically, both solid construction and timber construction have advantages and disadvantages; for us, the latter would definitely be an option.

Does anyone know how the resale value looks? Is it really significantly worse than solid construction? Or is that just a prejudice?

Hello Andreas, I once read a study by IFB Hannover (Institut für Bauforschung) on this topic (I believe from the year 2008) that reported on a cost comparison of solid house / prefabricated wooden house. Maybe that would be interesting for you to read. However, I cannot tell you whether the study is conclusive, but in my opinion, it provides some insight. I will allow myself to send you the link via private message. As far as a resale value is concerned, I would say that the location of the property plays a significant role.
