Replace wet glass wool?

Our two-story timber frame house recently received its insulation. Of all times, it rained heavily during and after the work on the upper floor ceiling. A lot of water has accumulated in the vapor barrier foil below the insulation. The glass wool above feels really wet. Now I fear that mold could develop. Can glass wool mold, and will it dry out on its own?

I just recently read that glass wool almost completely loses its insulating effect when wet. Maybe an expert can confirm that... Maybe peel off the foil so the stuff can possibly dry?

Wet glass wool is defective - replace it, you will hardly be able to properly dry the insulation mats anymore.

I had tried to dry the glass wool mats in the meantime, but it did not work. Meanwhile, everything has been replaced.

Did you replace it yourself? It is possible to dry the insulation again using machines.
