Replace skylight

Hello,

we need to replace a small roof window.

Are there any tips on where to buy windows that are good and cheap? A few years ago, a window was replaced here, but we had to take the private label from Heim & Haus because it had to be done very quickly and they were the only ones who even responded and accepted the order :-/ This time, however, we don’t want to take whatever we can get but take our time, which fortunately we have now.

So far, I have no idea about roof windows (I used to hate the attic). So if anyone has tips on what we should pay attention to, I’m happy to listen :-)

My husband just immediately came up with Velux. Yes, they have been advertising their roof window products quite nicely for a while... Surely there are cheaper alternatives?

Velux or Roto. They simply know how it's done. I would go to two or three carpenters and have them tell me the price. Karsten

Velux or Roto are the major and established manufacturers. Roto is, in my opinion, technically a bit ahead in terms of mechanics and installation->connection to the insulation. Not exactly cheap :)

Domski insulation does not exist here (yet) :-/ We will only be able to do the roof in a few years (as long as the main owner is alive we are very restricted.)
