The only way to solve the problem is how I work on the plaster. Doing everything anew, adding one more row of tiles on it, or wallpapering over it is still possible. The "Rotband" is a kind of gypsum smoother, right? Our fine plaster has a very fine grain after troweling.

Rotband is bonding plaster, as Peanuts already wrote. So to speak, the base for the felt plaster. I would do it exactly as he wrote. Apply the base plaster again and then the felt plaster on top. Unless you have a WC with 50 sqm, it should be a manageable effort. The alternative would be to endlessly annoy yourself about how it looks or hope that you get used to it.

I suppose I have no choice left.......everything all over again. Our plasters here are a bit different. The base plaster is lime-cement plaster applied with a machine. Then a very thin layer of lime fine plaster on top.
