Hello forum community

I am Micha and need some good advice.

I am currently renovating our WC.
Now I have made a very stupid mistake.
I did not pull the topcoat down far enough.
Now I am missing a strip next to the tiles.

I have already tried to plaster the strip afterwards.
The result is of course bad.

At the transition there is a strip without texture from the first plaster.

Does anyone have a hot tip for me?

Regards Micha

That does mean quite a bit of work, but we had a similar problem; after plastering, a slot still had to be made. The pure plastering of the slot was of course visible with felt plaster, you can never get it blended in that well. In our case, the plasterer simply applied a thin layer (a few mm) of plaster (Rotband?) over the entire wall and felt it completely again. For about 10m², the skilled plasterer didn't need 2 hours and it looks like new...

.....I actually wanted to avoid that. The whole room would have to be redone. My bricklayer is going crazy. What is Rotbrand?

Just google Rotband and not Rotbrand.

Why is your bricklayer going berserk? Besides, I thought it was only the WC, how big can the room be then??? Rotband is an adhesive plaster, I don't see another option if nothing is supposed to be visible afterwards.

Just install a nice stainless steel tile trim as a finish. The tiled area doesn’t have to be flush with the plastered wall.
